Job Description
Under the direction of the Pool Manager
the position shall be
responsible for the pool chemical testing, supervising swimming
activities,
enforcing pool rules, ensuring safety equipment and procedures are
in
place at all times, assisting in instructing all levels of
swimming lessons,
assisting with facility maintenance, attending and participating
in staff inservices
Salary: $26.36/hour; 40 hours/week, for 15 weeks
(early/mid-May to midAugust) and may include working overtime on
some weekends and/or evening hours. The Village of Mayo also pays for relocation
costs (a return flight or fuel expenses) and provide a staff house
for pool employees for the summer free of
charge
Required Qualifications
Base
Qualifications:
18 years or older, CPR/First Aid
Certificate, National Lifeguard Service
(Pool) Certificate, Lifesaving Society Swim for Life instructor
(or
equivalent), Applicant must successfully pass RCMP
reliability/vulnerable sector security check
Preferred
Qualifications:
WHMIS, Pool Operators Level 1
and/or 2, valid Class 5 driver's license
with clean drivers abstract and LSI accreditation are preferred
but not
required as training may be available on missing accreditations,
good
interpersonal skills
